Mind-Body Stress Reduction

6 Week Program

You will experience these mindfulness techniques:

  • Breath awareness
  • Body scan
  • Mindfulness meditation
  • Mindful yoga
  • Mindful listening

These practices can reverse the unhealthy changes which chronic stress produces. Half Day Retreat During the retreat, you will be guided in mindfulness practices learned throughout the course. You will enjoy walking and sitting meditation and yoga movement. We will end with a sharing circle. Program materials: You will receive the tools you need to empower yourself towards personal change including:

  • CDs to use at home
  • Program manual
  • Take-home practices that you can do daily

What to Bring (Yoga mat, blocks, & straps provided)

  • Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early so class can begin on time.
  • Wear loose comfortable clothing
  • Personal yoga mat or cushion if desired

Mindfulness can be defined as
moment by moment,
non-judgmental, non-striving awareness. Participants will learn the practicesof mindfulness
meditation, body-scan and gentle hatha yoga as strategies for dealing with stress in a healthy
more effective way.
